Microsoft Releases Three New Security Bulletins

Thursday July 17, 2003
There is some old superstition that when celebrities die they come in groups of 3. Of course, the interpretation of how long the timeframe is in which the "3" should die, or what exactly defines "celebrity" is skewed to fit the superstition as people see fit. Regardless, it seems that we need to start a similar superstition about Microsoft Security Bulletins. It seems like they can go for a month or so with no news, and then they release 3 bulletins all in one day. Here is the latest barrage of 3. Make sure you read them to see if you're affected and apply any necessary patches or workarounds.
MS03-028 : Flaw in ISA Server Error Pages Could Allow Cross-Site Scripting Attack (816456)

MS03-027 : Unchecked Buffer in Windows Shell Could Enable System Compromise (821557)

MS03-026 : Buffer Overrun In RPC Interface Could Allow Code Execution (823980)
