Apple Releases Macintosh Security Patch

Friday November 21, 2003
Although the Apple Macintosh operating system is generally secure compared with the various Microsoft Windows platforms and even many of its Linux / Unix cousins, it still has its problems. Apple recently released OS X 10.3- aka "Panther"- which was an upgrade over the "Jaguar" version containing many security enhancements. However, some vulnerabilities have been discovered which impact both "Jaguar" and "Panther" versions of Mac OS X and Apple has released a patch to repair the problems. You can get the patch here: Security Update 2003-11-19.
