ATShield v1.2 Helps Eradicate Trojans
Tuesday February 3, 2004
Running updated antivirus software and keeping your system patched against known vulnerabilities are two of the best ways to ensure that no malicious code gets into your computer. However, there is always a lag between the discovery of a new vulnerability or malware and the release of the patch or update to protect against it and during that window you may still become infected. Often, a Trojan or worm will run in resident memory and antivirus tools will be unable to detect or remove it. You can generally get around that by rebooting your Windows machine into Safe Mode, but ATShield has another option. The ATShield v1.2 product will run in addition to your antivirus software and provide the ability to detect and eliminate viruses and other malware without rebooting into Safe Mode even if the files are in use or they are running in resident memory. For more information, or to buy the product, you can visit the ATShield web site: Anti-Trojan Shield.
