Is Open Source Software More Secure?

Friday February 27, 2004
A couple of recent events have brought the debate of open source vs. closed source code to the forefront of security debates. On the one hand, you have the recent Windows source code leak. On the other hand you have a series of flaws discovered in the Linux kernel over the past few months.
