Ebay and Paypal are two of the primary targets of phishing scams. A member wrote into the Internet / Network Security Forums to say "Is there an eBay expert on this forum? I have often received fraudlent emails which appear to be from eBay, and never click on anything and always send them on to spoof@ebay.com. Until now, I've never had a problem. However, a couple nights ago, after a very long day, I began to answer a ton of email. Noticing several cusomer messages from ebay, I knew something was wrong because I had no items for sale. I opened one of the messages and of course it was asking me something about the computers I had for sale. In a blue box near the top of the page, there was a paragraph about fraudulent emails and what to do if you received on. There was a link explaining how to report them to ebay. Without thinking, I made the mistake of clicking on it. The instant I did it, I knew I had made a mistake, but too late. I then went to ebay.com from my browser and tried to change my password. The next morning, I tried to access my ebay account, no luck. I've tried to contact ebay and cannot get any information from them other than suggesting I log in and change my password."
