Top 10 Network Security New Year's Resolutions
Friday December 31, 2004
Today is New Year's Eve. Throughout the world people will gather to count down the final seconds of 2004 and ring in 2005. As each new year begins people tend to do two things. One is to look back on the past year and reflect on the highs and lows. The other is to look forward to the new year and resolve to change or improve some things about yourself or your life. Typical New Year's resolutions include losing weight, saving money or getting out of debt, stopping smoking and other such promises. Most New Year's resolutions are abandoned by February as the novelty of the new year wears off. This time last year I created a listing of Top 10 New Year's resolutions for network and computer security. Hopefully some fair percentage of the readers of this site took at least part of that list to heart and had a more secure 2004 as a result. The list is still filled with good, sound security fundamentals, so I am reposting it this year. Take a look and add a few of the tips from this list to your resolution to get in shape and lose 15 pounds. HAPPY NEW YEAR!. Top 10 Computer Security New Year's Resolutions
