Gates Lays Out Plans For Free Anti-Spyware and New Version of Internet Explorer

Speaking at the RSA Security Conference, Bill Gates announced that Microsoft will make their Microsoft AntiSpyware product, currently released for beta testing, available for free to licensed owners of Microsoft Windows. The beta version of Microsoft AntiSpyware has gotten generally favorable reviews and has tested well against the competition. Gates also laid out plans for a new version of Internet Explorer, with beefed up security including stronger antispyware features, to be tested out this summer.
