Hard drive space is relatively cheap and data, almost any data, is priceless. Corporations save more and more data today and there are certain considerations which need to be kept in mind to keep all of that data manageable. Regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA also mandate a certain level of data archiving.
