Home networks are increasingly being targeted by all sorts of attacks and malware. According to David Dittrich's article, Invasion Force, in the March issue of Information Security Magazine, millions of machines have been compromised and are poised to be used by attackers. Between the trend toward high-speed, broadband Internet access and the growing number of wireless networks, many of which are insecure, home networks are becoming a juicier target for attackers.
