How Does Sarbanes-Oxley Impact I.T.?

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act, affectionately dubbed SOX, was created primarily to provide more oversight of corporate financial and accounting concerns in the wake of debacles like Enron and MCI. Since it was passed in 2002 though, it has been on the radar screen of network and security administrators because some of its provisions cross over and become regulatory concern for I.T..
