Anti-spyware programs do a fair job of detecting and removing known spyware threats. However, none of them is perfect and there are spyware and browser hijackers which are more tenacious than these tools can handle. In those cases, many people turn to HijackThis, a free tool you can use to analyze your computer files and Registry and help identify components of the malware so you can eradicate them.
