Friday June 10, 2005
There have been attacks on Bluetooth wireless devices in the past, most notably the Cabir worm. However, previous attacks have targeted Bluetooth devices that did not have security enabled. A pair of security researchers from Tel Aviv have shown that they can hack even security-enabled Bluetooth devices in as little as .06 seconds. For more about the Bluetooth compromise and a link to the related whitepaper, Cracking The Bluetooth PIN, see this InformationWeek article: Research Shows Bluetooth Can Be Hacked In Milliseconds.
