Sprechen Zie Deutsch?

Monday August 29, 2005
One of the easiest ways to identify a virus or other malware is when the message is written in another language. If it isn't malware, it at very least is not intended for you, so it is easy to dismiss. One worm creator seems to have solved that dilemma. According to security vendor Akonix Systems, a new MSN Messenger worm dubbed 'Kelvir.HI' checks the default language on Windows systems in order to tailor its message in the language of the target recipient. The worm is capable of transmitting its message in English, French, German, Greek, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. For more details on this crafty worm, read this News.com article: IM worm speaks your language
