Remove Unused Drivers and Devices

While the most common targets of exploits and malware tend to be operating systems or major applications such as web browsers, just about anything that executes could potentially be an attack vector. So, having device drivers installed on your computer and possibly running in memory for devices you don't even use or have attached any longer can be a potential security risk. I wrote this quick tip for WindowsNetworking.com to describe how to go about removing devices and uninstalling device drivers to clean up your system, prevent resource conflicts and protect your computer from being exploited by vulnerable drivers you didn't even know you had installed.
