Microsoft Improves IE7 Security Features
Monday December 12, 2005
Microsoft continues to tweak and improve Internet Explorer 7 which has been in Beta testing for the past few months. According to this ComputerWorld article, Microsoft is changing the way the Local Intranet zone is handled for home users. Home computers, even when on a small home network, rarely have an actual intranet site, which makes the Intranet Zone just another open attack vector. There are also other changes including modifications to the way Internet Explorer manages Trusted Sites. For more details, see Microsoft tightening security defaults in IE 7.
