Making The Web Safer

Thursday March 2, 2006
There is a new product available designed to help you surf the Web safer. SiteAdvisor is a free plug-in for the Internet Explorer or Firefox web browser applications which identifies sites which may be a little shady. SiteAdvisor even super-imposes its findings over Google, Yahoo! or MSN search results so that you can see at a glance whether or not the sites listed are deemed safe from spam, phishing, spyware, pop-ups and more. For more details about the product, read this ComputerWorld article: SiteAdvisor plug-in warns surfers of dodgy sites .
