Microsoft Windows Live OneCare
Wednesday May 31, 2006
According to Microsoft, up to 70% of the home user market is not using any sort of computer protection such as antivirus, or personal firewall software. Beginning Thursday, Microsoft hopes to capture part of that 70%, and hopefully put a little dent in Symantec and McAfee's market share as well. On June 1, Microsoft will officially release their Windows Live OneCare product. At a retail price of $49.95, it can provide protection for up to three computers and includes not only security software, but also general maintenance and performance features such as patch management and data backup.
