Microsoft Patches The Patch

One of the patches related to the August Security Bulletins caused problems on some systems. Many organizations that applied the MS06-042 patch on Windows 2000 systems or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (SP1) ran into problems with the Internet Explorer Web browser crashing. Microsoft has released an updated version of the patch which addresses and corrects the issues that were causing the problem. For more information, read MS Finally Patches IE Patch from The Register.
