Microsoft Patches The Patch

One of the patches related to the August Security Bulletins caused problems on some systems. Many organizations that applied the MS06-042 patch on Windows 2000 systems or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (SP1) ran into problems with the Internet Explorer Web browser crashing. Microsoft has released an updated version of the patch which addresses and corrects the issues that were causing the problem.
