National Security?

Monday September 4, 2006
Internet and network security includes the normal stuff most people think of when they talk about securing a computer or network, such as antivirus, personal firewalls, password security, etc. But, there exists a gray area that interconnects Internet and network security with the physical security measures of the facilities that house the computer equipment and the infrastructure security of services such as electricity and telecommunications, without which computer networks would not be feasible. I read an interesting blog post from Anton Chuvakin which reminded me how much terrorism and anti-terrorism have in common. They both use fear as a tool to manipulate the masses. Check out some of the books below for more information and insight into our national security or lack thereof.
