Zero-Day PowerPoint Exploit

No sooner did Microsoft release an out-of-cycle patch to address the Internet Explorer VML vulnerability being exploited in the wild, than a new zero-day exploit targeting Microsoft has been discovered. According to Secunia, a new vulnerability is being exploited which targets an unspecified error in PowerPoint. Users are being cautioned to not open any unknown Microsoft Office files until some sort of patch or protection is in place.
