10 New Security Bulletins From Microsoft

Within a few days of releasing Security Bulletin MS06-055 to address a zero-day exploit in Internet Explorer that was being used to attack vulnerable machines, word spread of a different zero-day exploit circulating in the wild that targeted a flaw in PowerPoint. With October's Security Bulletins, Microsoft addresses the flaw in PowerPoint, as well as Excel and Word. In all, there are 10 new Security Bulletins for October. Microsoft released 1 Low, 2 Moderate, 1 Important and 6 Critical Security Bulletins.
