Saturday November 18, 2006
For November, Microsoft released 6 new Security Bulletins, bringing the cumulative total for the year to 71. One of them, MS06-066, was rated as Important, while the other five were rated as Critical by Microsoft. The Critical bulletins include the regularly recurring Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (MS06-067) as well as a patch for a flaw in the XML Core Services (MS06-071) which has been being attacked in the wild as a zero-day exploit for a couple weeks.
