Checkpoint Bids To Buy Pointsec

Checkpoint, known for their firewall products and the popular Zone Alarm personal firewall software, has put in a bid to purchase Protect Data, parent company of Pointsec Mobile Technologies. Pointsec makes encryption software used by many enterprises and government agencies to secure and protect data, particularly on laptops and mobile devices. In light of the frequent security breaches resulting from lost or stolen mobile devices, technology such as that offered by Pointsec is a hot commodity right now.
