Internet Explorer Protected Mode

With Windows Vista, Microsoft has added a number of new security measures. One of them, WIC (Windows Integrity Control), is used by Internet Explorer to protect the system from malicious web content. Internet Explorer includes an additional security measure, Protected Mode, designed to safeguard the system and ensure that malicious content from the Web does not affect your system.
