How is your network protected? Do you have a firewall? Antivirus software on the email gateway? An antispam appliance? Intrusion detection sensors? Some sort of antispyware or antiphishing solution? How much time and effort does it take to deploy, configure, implement, and maintain all of those security tools? Perhaps it is time for you to investigate Unified Threat Management (UTM).
