Trojan Targets Mac OS X

Have you noticed the rising popularity of Apple? The Mac OS has always had a small, yet fanatical following. In recent years though, Apple introduced the iPod, a leading portable music player, iTunes, a leading web site for purchasing digital music, and the iPhone, a revolutionary and popular cutting edge cell phone. These products and innovations have introduced the masses to the engineering quality and genuine simplicity of Apple products and have led more and more users to consider computers and laptops from Apple and to make the move to using the Mac operating system. The increased popularity of the Mac OS has not been lost on the malware creators of the world either. While the Mac operating system is generally considered to be more secure than Microsoft Windows, I have maintained that the volume of attacks against Windows are a function of its market share, not its security weaknesses. Now that Mac popularity is growing, a Trojan has been created which targets Mac OS users specifically. For more details, check out this article in The Register.
