And The Winner Is....

Thursday January 17, 2008
You are a cynical and pessimistic bunch. The winner of the poll to predict how many Microsoft Security Bulletins we will see in 2008 was More than 100. Of course, every pessimist I know declares that they are not "pessimistic", but are, in fact, being "realistic". I guess only time will tell. There was a 12% drop from 2006 to 2007, and only 69 Security Bulletins for 2007. If the majority of you are correct, there will be 150% more Security Bulletins in 2008 than we saw in 2007. To be fair, the 2nd place vote getter in the poll went to those who feel Microsoft will continue their downward trend, and that 2008 will see another drop in Security Bulletins to the 51 to 60 range. Only time will tell. We can look back on this in December and find out if it is truly "realism", or just plain "pessmism".
