Book Review: Windows Vista Security

Friday March 21, 2008
Microsoft has dubbed Vista the "most secure" Windows operating system to date. I think it lives up to that claim quite nicely. They didn't claim it was perfect, or impenetrable- just better than all of it predecessors. It is imperfect. Point taken. It is up to the user to gain an understanding of all of the new security features and functions in Vista, and learn to configure and implement them to best protect their system. In Windows Vista Security, Roger Grimes and Jesper Johansson seek to provide the reader with the knowledge they need to understand the security technologies, combined with the common sense security practices the reader should follow to stay secure. Take a look at my review of the book to find out how well they meet that goal. Book Review: Windows Vista Security.
