Top 10 Internet Scams

Thursday April 17, 2008
Have you ever received an email from a politician in exile, or a lawyer representing a deceased individual's estate, or...well, suffice it to say there are many variations? In this email, you are promised a percentage of a very large sum of money if you will just help facilitate moving it off shore and getting it deposited into a U.S. account. Seems simple enough. For more details on these, as well as 8 other common scams, check out The Top 10 Internet / Email Scams from About.com Internet For Beginners Guide, Paul Gil.
