According to a recent study commissioned by security software vendor CA, as the threat of attack from outside the corporate newtork perimeter declines, the threat posed by internal security breaches and attacks is on the rise. The report claims that virus attacks decreased from 68% to 59% in the past 12 months, and network attacks went down from 50% to 40%. At the same time, 44% of respondents cited internal breaches as a primary security concern over the past 12 months, compared with only 15% 5 years ago.
