Book Review: Crimeware

Friday October 31, 2008
I have been saying for some time that malware has changed. What used to be a matter of pure bragging rights and wreaking havoc just for 15 minutes of fame has evolved into a tool for profit used by professionals to steal and extort. The authors of this book do an excellent job of explaining what the threats are that face computers and networks today and how to defend against them. They also make a compelling case describing how malware has been turned into crimeware. To find out more, read my review of Crimeware: Understanding New Attacks and Defenses. Remember too, if you have read the book you can feel free to contribute your own rating and review by clicking on the 'Write a Review' button found at the bottom of my review.

Informative article.

Please wanna know about any available tools to combat malicious programs in mobile devices(e.g phones) this coming from one of your recent postings. True they have increased in functionalities and are computers in their own rights. How do you suggest they can be used by malware writers for malicious ends?
