Evil Twin WiFi Hotspots - Coming Soon To A Coffee Shop Near You

There's a shadowy presence appearing at coffee shops, hotels, airports, and anywhere else free public Wi-Fi is found. It's called an Evil Twin hotspot and it's setup by hackers and criminals to mimic a legitimate free public Wi-Fi hotspot.

In this week's featured article, The Dangers of Evil Twin Wi-Fi Hotspots, we'll learn what makes the Evil Twin hotspot so evil and we'll show you what you can do to protect yourself from them.

Actually, I am sitting in a coffee shop in Orange, CA right now called “It’s A Grind.” Interestingly, I see two hotspots associated with this location. The first transmits “It’s a Grind” (weaker signal strength) while another transmits “It’s A Grind Coffee House.”

The employees here are very confused by the first one and while the second one is considered legit I have to wonder how many people have connected to the first…I may go ahead and track down the evil twin just for fun…
