Have you received a call from someone claiming to be from Windows Tech Support? Are they claiming that your computer is "sending off errors"?

You've just become a target and potential victim of the Fake Tech Support Scam? It goes by many other names including: The Ammyy Scam, The Microsoft Support Scam, and The Event Viewer Scam. I have been called by these folks at least 3 times and each time their accent is a give away.

Since I am from India, I can discern an Indian accent from the way in which my name is pronounced.

Immediately, I start speaking in Hindi (which I can speak fluently) and tell them in an obscenity laced street lingo that he should not try to fool me and disconnect the call.

Final step is to block the caller through my telephone service provider.
