UDP

From , former About.com Guide

Definition: UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is a part of the TCP/IP suite of protocols used for communications on the Internet. It is similar to TCP except that it offers very little error-checking and does not establish a connection with a specific destination. It is most widely used to broadcast a message over a network port to all machines listening.
