from Tony Bradley, your Editor and Guide
A controversial debate is raging. The University of Calgary is introducing a class available to their seniors which will teach them how to write a virus. The opposition fears that they will only be teaching the next generation of malicious code writers, but the university feels this knowledge is necessary for the next generation of security professionals to protect and defend against these threats.

Read the new article posted to the site, Security Through Obscurity, and look for an article specifically related to the University of Calgary debate later this week. Also posted this week were an updated Top Picks for Computer and Network Security Books and a review of St. Bernard Software's iPrism Internet management appliance.

Be sure to check out the Forums. There have been many good questions raised and discussions going on over the past couple of weeks.
