Make sure you read them and apply any patches necessary to protect your computers. The heated battle between the recording industry and file-sharing P2P networks continues. Michael Jackson voiced his opinion against recent draconian law proposals and the P2P networks have begun releasing new versions of the client software to hide their users from the RIAA. Join in the Forum discussion to voice your opinion on the RIAA / P2P issue. I am currently reviewing a product from Winferno called SecureIE. It is a web browser to replace Internet Explorer with some security bells and whistles built in. Look for a review to be posted in the upcoming week. Also look for even more book reviews. | ||||

| Book Review: Steal This Computer Book 3 Stand-up comedian and information security columnist Wallace Wang has done it again. Steal This Computer Book has sold over 150,000 copies from the first two versions. This latest edition adds content about spyware, hacktivism, cyberterrorism, war driving and more timely security news. Looking at security and hacker threats from more of a philosophical than technical standpoint this book is an excellent read that is easy to get through. Anyone with a PC that connects to the Internet should read this book. |
