| from Tony Bradley, your Editor and Guide Thanks to the Great Blackout of August 2003 (or whatever catchy name they're using in your area) my computer and network security was 100% perfect and impenetrable for about 32 hours last week. Nobody can compromise my network or infect my computers with a virus or Trojan when they are physically powered off. Due to being effectively unable to access the Internet for 2 or 3 days, there is a little less new content this week than normal. I also was unable to complete and post the promised review of the SecurLock USB encryption key- look for that early this week. I hope those of you who were affected managed to cope well and that everything is getting back to normal for you. As per usual, look for more book reviews this week and the Computer Security 101 - Lesson 10 Quiz as well as the Computer Security 101 Final Exam. Have a great week! | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Book Review: TICSA Training Guide The TICSA Training Guide is one of the better exam preparation books in print. The information presented is done so in a clear and well-written manner. It provides a comprehensive overview of the information needed to pass the exam. The information isn't too in-depth- designed to help you cram for the exam moreso than to teach you everything you need to know- but it is an excellent resource even for those who aren't taking this exam. Those trying to prepare for the CISSP, Security+ or other information security certifications would also find benefit in cramming with this book. |
