I am not a fan of spam. I try to keep things in perspective though. It is just email. I have filters that move it to my Junkmail folder without me having to ever see it. It doesn't really matter to me whether I receive 10 or 10,000 other than what impact it might have on my network bandwidth. So, I definitely think there should be laws against spam and that spammers should be prosecuted, but I think of 'spamming' as sort of a geek crime of a different class than say armed bank robbery.
