Windows 9x/Me is not a secure system by default. The operating system was designed for home use where security was previously looked at as less important. It is difficult to actually "secure" a Windows 9x system, but this information will help you make it as secure as is possible.
Microsoft Security Bulletins- February 2004
Microsoft released three new vulnerability bulletins this month- MS04-005, MS04-006 and MS04-007. The MS04-007 bulletin addresses a particularly critical hole in ASN.1 that users should patch as soon as possible.
