Network Probe System Requirements:
Network Probe will run on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS X and Solaris Intel/Sparc (admin/root access needed). It requires that you have Java 1.1.8 runtime or later installed as well as a network card with promiscuous-mode capability
What Can Network Probe Do?:
Network Probe allows you to capture and view network traffic in real time to view or analyze:

  • protocols being used
  • active hosts on network
  • conversations or live traffic
  • detailed protocol and network traffic statistics
  • network throughput on network or LAN segment
Visual / Graphical Displays:
Network Probe provdies full graphical representation and detailed statistics of the traffic load on your network and the type of data travelling across it. Network Probe lets you isolate traffic problems and congestions impacting your network. Hosts generating large amounts of traffic such as downloading of music and movies, playing online games, or listening to streaming media are easily identified.
Flexible and Powerful:
All network traffic information collected by Network Prove can be searched, sorted, and filtered by protocols, hosts, conversations, network interfaces, traffic amount, and the date and time any of these entries was first seen.
