What Is Plastic Sniffer?: Plastic Sniffer is a free protocol analyzer (packet sniffer) from Plastic Water.
What Does It Do? : Plastic Sniffer captures data packets on a network for further analysis. It can help you identify and troubleshoot problems on your network.
Why Use Plastic Sniffer?: Plastic Sniffer was designed specifically to be compact and fast. AT less than 100kb, the program downloads in a snap. It supports file logging as well as the filtering of ports or IP addresses.
What's New In Plastic Sniffer?: Plastic Sniffer 1.2, released in May of 2005, includes the following updates:

  • Added a 'Selected IP' box which will make sure only IPs in this box are shown (opposite of ignore box).
  • Fixed 'old' timestamps on the conversation window
