Shred Your Hard Drive Data

Many people use some sort of paper shredder to turn their various paper trash into party confetti before throwing it away. They do this so that nobody can sift through their trash and gain information about them like their bank or credit card information. However, not as many people are diligent about making sure that data is completely removed from hard drives before they trash or sell their hard drive or computer system. Deleting and formatting are not enough. Read this Quick Tip on erasing or wiping your hard drive before you dispose of it to make sure that your data doesn't end up on a stranger's computer.
