Gartner Analyst: Good Enough May Be Just Fine

Security is maturing to the point where the products are more of a commodity than a specialty. Companies have invested large budgets in procuring and deploying best-of-breed technologies, but a recent Gartner proclamation suggests that the difference in features and effectiveness between the best-of-breed and average products has narrowed and that an average product may be just fine.
