IE8 Works to Prevent Cross-Site Scripting Attacks

One of the most prevalent threats for Web surfers is the cross-site scripting attack. With cross-site scripting, an attacker is able to insert malicious code into otherwise legitimate web pages. Tens of thousands of sites, including big names such as Google and Yahoo, have been victimized by cross-site scripting attacks. According to this article from The Register, Microsoft is employing a new technique in the next Beta of Internet Explorer 8 designed to filter and thwart the cross-site scripting attacks.
