Do-It-Yourself Security Suites for Free

Friday August 29, 2008
There are a variety of threats attempting to compromise your computer and it takes a variety of tools to protect against them. Many vendors sell security suites, but many people don't have the $50 to $100 to invest. In the current campaign for President there are very different perceptions of our economy. If you agree that our economic woes are a matter of perception and that the last 8 years have been a paragon of economic prosperity, then purchasing a suite like the McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008 or other retail package is probably the way to go. But, if you are part of the 'whining' majority actually experiencing economic problems and trying to choose between groceries, gasoline, or healthcare with the limited financial resources you have available, spending money to protect your PC is probably not a high priority. This article discusses how you can put together a security suite even with no money at all by combining tools and applications that are available for free. Take a look at Free Security Suite: Do-It-Yourself Security Suites Using Free Tools and Utilities.

Interesting how the hard core republicans I know seem to think McCain is a better choice than Obama. They think(1) he’s a Moslem (2)he’s not experienced enough or (3)they are not forthright enough to say they don’t want an African American President-they say they don’t like his name!! Anyhow, those of us who are, as I believe, enlightened, have been experiencing economic wows and aren’t afraid to say so. Luckily I have free McAfee Security with my internet provider.
